Frequently Asked Questions

  • 1. What are the hours of operation?
    Members We are open for membership holders: Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Students Students are able to access CAPC Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Sunday.
  • 2. Who can become a member?
    Students, alumni, staff and faculty, family of students and alumni, family of staff and faculty, churches and ministries, clients of trainers, our business partners, as well as sports and athletic teams and their families.
  • 3. Do you offer day passes?
    Yes! Day passes are available for $20, subject to signing a safety and liability waiver. This waiver must be signed before your day pass will be given to you. The gym hours are also the hours available for day pass users. In order to receive a day pass, please contact the Athletic Director, Cameron Ward, by emailing cameron@canadaathletic.ca or by calling (647) 966-3879. Please note that a Day Pass is NOT a membership and, if you have paid for your day pass and decide to become a member, the fee for the day pass does NOT go towards your membership rate.
  • 4. Can I take a tour before committing?
    Yes! We would love to show you our facilities. Either visit the front desk or book a tour by emailing our Athletic Director, Cameron Ward, at cameron@canadaathletic.ca
  • 5. When and how are monthly dues collected?
    Your gym membership dues are automatically billed to the card we have on file for you every month on the date you signed up. If the payment fails to go through, you will enter into our payment grace period wherein you will be contacted by a member of our staff who will help you resolve the issue.
  • 6. What are the gym rules?
    1. Put away any weights you move or use; 2. Wipe down equipment with sanitary wipes after use; 3. If avoidable, do not drop free weights; 4. Be mindful of and respectful towards your fellow gym-goers in your language and actions; 5. Dress must be gym appropriate while maintaining modesty; 6. Shirts must be worn at all times; 7. No personal training by Members and Guests; 8. Headphones and earbuds only, no speakers or music playing from your phone; 9. No gum on any of the fields or courts; and 10. Scheduled events have priority with regards to the High Performance area as well as the fields and courts.
  • 7. Can I bring a guest?
    You may bring a guest; however, that guest must obtain a day pass in order to use any of our equipment or facilities.
  • 8. I'm a trainer, can I bring my clients?
    Yes! We allow freelancing out of our facility. Note that there is a monthly fee with reduced client memberships. Please contact our Athletic Director with a proposal or with any questions by emailing cameron@canadaathletic.ca
  • 9. Can I bring my own speaker?
    No. Out of respect for the other members of the gym, no outside speakers are permitted. If you want to listen to music other than the music that is playing in the athletic centre, please use earbuds or headphones.
  • 10. If a team is using the High Performance Area, can I still use the squat racks?
    No. Unfortunately, when any surface is booked (courts, turf, high performance) by an organization, members do not have access to those spaces or to the equipment within those spaces.
  • 11. Can I freeze my membership if, due to travel, an injury, or military duty, I am unable to workout?
    Yes. You may freeze your membership if you have been injured, are on an extended mission trip, or if you are in the military and will be deployed: If you have been injured, you may freeze your membership until you have recovered. If you are on an extended mission trip, you may also freeze your membership until you return. If you are serving in the military and are deployed, you may freeze your membership until your deployment ends and you return.
  • 12. How do I cancel my membership?
    If you want to cancel your membership, contact our Athletic Director, Cameron Ward, by emailing cameron@canadaathletic.ca. You will have 30-days after your last payment to continue using our facilities.
  • 13. If I have a problem or any additional questions, who do I contact?
